Cellist Rebecca (Becca) Humphrey Diederich lives and works in the Philadelphia area where she is an active freelancer, performing with many US early music ensembles in tiny churches, living rooms, large concert halls and dilapidated county courthouses. One of her greatest joys is playing as a founding member of Belladonna Baroque Quartet, which has toured extensively in the US and Brazil. In Philadelphia she is founding member of many chamber groups including Aurelio, Kleine Kammermusik, Night Music, aMuse, and most recently The Franklin Quartet.
When not playing cello or viola da gamba, Becca is an avid tennis player and even went to nationals with her USTA team in 2015. She is a mountain person, not a beach gal, spending as many summer weekends as possible in the Allegheny Mountains of Western Pennsylvania.
